In 1992, two women with a shared dream set out on a culinary journey. Having honed their skills at the iconic Chez Mathilde and The Paddock, they were inspired to create their own dining experience—one that captured the elegance and charm of Chez Mathilde.

Their path led them through running a café-restaurant and a hotel dining venue, but destiny had something bigger in store. They crossed paths with Romalo, a talented chef from Le Dome, another legendary name on the island.

The vision became clear: to blend the sophistication of Chez Mathilde with the culinary mastery of Le Dome. And so, Restaurant Anno 1877 was born—a place where tradition meets innovation, delivering an unforgettable dining experience with the finest ingredients and impeccable service.
